Letter Template Maintenance

The following window is displayed when you select Templates/Forms, Letter Templates from the Maint Menu.

The editor is a WYSIWYG device: "What You See Is What You Get". Therefore any printed output will be the same as you see on screen.

This window also adds three extra menu items to the MDI window Main Menu:-

Format Menu
View Menu
Text/Fields Menu


Name

A unique name.
This is used in the Select Letter Template window when you request a Letter Print operation.

Email

If checked then this template is used for emails.

If this is visible then the record has been marked for deletion and will not be available after the next removal of deleted records action.
(The 'Remove Deleted Records' function can be found in the maintenance menu.)

Standard Text:

Standard text is available for insertion and is gathered into groups.

Group

Use this box to select the text group you wish to insert text from.

Text

Use this box to select the text item you wish to insert.

Insert

Use this button to insert the Standard Text selected via the Group/Text boxes.

Group/New

Use this button to define a new Standard Text Group.
You will be asked for a name for the Group which must be unique.

Group/Delete

Use this button to delete the Standard Text Group Displayed.
Note: All Text items in this Group will also be deleted.

Text/New

Use this button to define a new Standard Text item.
Note that you must have the text you wish to save highlighted before pressing this button.
You will be asked for a name for the Text item which must be unique.

Text/Delete

Use this button to delete the Standard Text item displayed.
The remaining controls apply font or paragraph treatments (such as Bold, Italic, Left Justify etc.) that are standard to the majority of Windows word processors.
